Rooted in the pipeline industry, SEMI has grown to support a wide range of sectors including renewables, environmental, utility, and other critical infrastructure markets. Our Story
Founder JW Gully rises to Vice President of Procurement and Equipment Maintenance at Houston Contracting Company, overseeing equipment for pipeline projects across the Middle East, South America, and West Africa.
Founded by JW Gully in Houston, Texas, Sunbelt Tractor & Equipment begins serving the pipeline industry with equipment sales and rentals.
Sunbelt Equipment Marketing, Inc. is established to manufacture pipe trailers, off-road flotation trailers, and other specialty equipment.
JW introduces the rubber track crawler carrier to the pipeline construction industry with the IC-45 model manufactured by IHI in Japan.
Working with clients, SEMI’s innovative approach leads to the growth of specialty units for various uses and applications in domestic and global markets.
